 The UK West Africa Action Group (UK WAAG) is an industry-led organisation run under the auspices of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. UK WAAG was established over 12 years ago and since its inception has heightened awareness of opportunities in West Africa's growing oil and gas sector, promoted the UK's expertise and capabilities and assisted its members in entering these difficult markets.
With over 80 corporate members, UK WAAG is the largest organisation of its kind specialising in oil & gas trade with West Africa. It is widely regarded as the leading support mechanism in the UK for companies entering West African oil and gas markets and acts as the clearing house for a stream of company referrals from other agencies both in the private and public sectors. Its reach and network extends far beyond its member base. UK WAAG seeks to gather and disseminate West African market and country information of all types, works with companies to assist their entry into the market, engages the support of government organisations and leads market visits and trade missions to the region.
